A 6-week competition for Chicago musicians. This online event raises money for breast cancer research and awareness.
Created by local entrepreneur Joe Martin, the event aims to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. A cause very close to him after learning his mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in May 2020. In cooperation with the American Cancer Society, you can learn more about their initiatives at www.cancer.org.
All money raised through voting until Jul 3rd will be donated to Black Lives Matter Chicago.
To fuel other initiatives at work right now, all votes for musicians during the qualifying round will be donated to Black Lives Matter Chicago. The 12 artists with the most votes by Fri, Jul 3rd will take part in a live, two night competition on http://openmic.community.
