Celebrating the good news of friends and colleagues.

Ashley Havertine did an incredible job pulling together the Real Men Wear Pink Party at Avli on the Park. The evening was complemented by beautiful decorations from Kehoe Design and the opportunity to meet other passionate individuals working toward this same cause.

I put together this short video with some footage I captured at the event.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In cooperation with the American Cancer Society I’m looking to raise $5,000 in donations for breast cancer research & awareness before the end of October. You can donate here.

Dr. Benjamin Ritter launched his new podcast, The Executive. I highly suggest the episode where he interviews a friend of mine, Shermin Kruse.

Matt Deutschman has released his second children’s book, When You Think a Monster’s Lurking. Available for pre-order until Oct 13th and illustrated by a college friend of mine, Katie Williams. He will also be hosting an event for kids on Oct 22nd, available to those who pre-order.

Justin Breen celebrated the launch of his new business venture — of course it’s going to be epic.

Victoria Rock won the Shirley Marx Pitch Competition through the Women’s Business Development Program.

Alyssa Schoenfeld from Bites of Boston Food Tours closed an order for 250 custom gift boxes for Boston University.

Jon Harrington applied for a new job, but didn’t get the interview. After a day of sulking, he focused on the positives. Applying for that job made him update his portfolio and resume. While he’s been doing more illustrations lately he is brushing up on his motion graphic skills to break into that industry.

Tyler Hostettler is ready for his new career after an incredibly successful kickstarter campaign. Asking for $10,000, he closed the campaign at $185,157.

Bruce La Fetra has also started using the Some Good News segment from my Chicago Central #ProVisors home group meetings. And it’s a hit! He commented that, “sometimes we forget how much good news is all around us.” Other ProVisors groups can do the same using this presentation.

Jackie Sloane MCC and her colleagues at Catalyst Ranch are finalists for $75,000 in marketing support from AM 560 and Signature Bank — an initiative to support businesses challenged by the pandemic.

Jesse Christenson went from Mordor to the Shire: “[I] Started the year squatting in a rehearsal studio, working part time, spent 5 months in a homeless shelter, saved my money, got a great job, saved more, got an apartment 5 minutes from my daughters and their wonderful mother, got 50/50 custody of my girls, and in a week I’ll have 1 year and 6 months since a drink and 8 months since I smoked weed. I had every reason to let ego tell me to drink or worse but I stayed vigilant, kept my faith right, and was delivered to exactly where I needed to be.” #grateful

Maren Oslac hit 200 downloads of her podcast, The Soulful Leader.

Richard H. Eaton’s staff, clients and family have been awesome through this whole COVID mess.

Adam Kreek delivered his first live event since March 2020. It made a generous impact and received rave reviews!

Dave LeVeque competed in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in St. George, Utah.

Kevin Gross put together this wonderful tribute to honor his mother and 9/11. https://marilyngross-art.com/

Abby Dryer’s DEI Program is getting great traction and was able to present it in Bulgaria! She’s been tackling the challenge of Diversity Equity & Inclusion engagement through gamification.

Jonathan Pritchard will be running a cohort-based workshop for podcasters to focus on improving their “stage presence” and communication skills. https://www.OwnTheMicWorkshop.com
